This will be the last knife from me for a few weeks. I've got a bunch of sheaths to make and need to stop the knives and get them done. Why the name? The blade on this knife is exactly 13" plus it turns out to be the 13 knife in the serries I started in July. The blade is 5160, 1018 guard and the rest of the fitting are WI. I used a real piece of sambar stag on this knife. It's been a few years since I used any and I had forgotten how tuff this material was.

Hi, Ray,

Just so you know, that pic isn't viewable by the rank and file unless they register at that board.

I'm glad you had that sentence in here about stopping to make sheathes! :) I read this first over on CKD and worried that something was wrong and stopping you from making knives. Glad to know it's all about the "other part" of knifemaking....

Take care, have fun with the leather.

Jeez, Mike, leather?......Patooie!! We want sterling silver sheaths. ;)

Edited to add: Very nice knife, now that I can see it.:D

GAWD RAY!

This is one series of knives I hope never ends.
You just keep coming out with these butt kickin' blades.

Your blessed Bro! Keep up the great work.

Nick, I'll have it with me.

This style is really growing on me, I've got to really force myself to stop the knives and do the sheaths but I'm like 12 behind. Thats enough to do in a couple weeks.

Raymond you said you was frustrated because you couldn't get the knife and sheath photo to come open on the knife I posted, Well I can't see any part of your knife, so I get to be more frustrated.:D

Whoa!... Raymond you just can't miss. I particularly like the domed butt cap on this one, and the dark stag. And yeah, that does look lively!

Ray,

That is one beautiful bowie. I've been trying many variations on paper while trying to settle my mind on my own design (still in the works). You've really nailed the design. Incredible!

Dan

Ray, that's the nicest of the bunch as far I am concerned. It takes the best of Hoss and combines it with best of Little Joe, both of which are excellent looking knives.

Edited to add:

I hope you don't mind me using it for my avatar for awhile. If you do just let me know and I will change it.

Nice Bowie Ray!! I wish I could check it out next month at the NorthWest show but My niece is getting married on that weekend. Cant miss that. Have fun Guys.

Bruce, I just got home from a wedding. I understand but I'd much rather go to a knife show.

Keith, no problem, feel free to use it...

Those fitting do look kind of rusty, I didn't want to oil them up till after I got it all assembled.

I thought this knife would trip some triggers, glad you guys like it.....

Awsome Ray! I'd love to play with that toad sticker! Been thinking about an Alaskin huntin' trip, think that would keep the Grizzes off me?:D

Nice bowie, Ray. I keep thinking I need to start making a few bowies (haven't in awhile). This my just push things up a bit. Thanks for sharing & inspiring.

You know you've got a helluva knife if Keith uses it as his avatar! ;) :D

I love "S" guards! This one is very nice; and, like Burch said, must be good, or Keith wouldnt use it as his avatar. :)

Has anyone noticed that Keith has changed his aviator? He changes it more frequently than I change my overalls. I was going to say shorts but thats another story......
