Hi guys,
I need some advice here. I got a 1095&15n20 Damascus knife yesterday and I like it very much. But I found a gap in the blade, It looks like air gaps between the layers. I don't know if this gap will continue to expand or what other impact it will have. I'm hesitating whether to return this knife, hope to get some suggestions from here.

If it bothers you which it obviously does, I'd suggest you contact the makers and share your concerns. As if it bothers you now it most likely always will. You should be pleased with the custom knives you purchase.

I agree with Kevin Jones, send it back. You will see that crack every time you look at it use it, or fondle that blade.
Properly forged, it should not be there.

From a maker's perspective, I would always prefer that a customer contact ME first to discuss anything he doesn't like about a knife so that I can make it right. In my shop, a blade with a crack in it would never make it far enough to get a guard and handle fitted.

and when you try to sell it the possible buyer will see it right away  it does not look like the crack or space goes thru the lighter portions of the damascus, but i would still be concerned. that should have been sold cheaply as a "second" for fishing or hunting. and i totally agree with i4marc, i have a bunch of blades with lesser issues that were not worth any further effort.

It might have been sold discounted and with disclosure, we do not know.

It's a defect, it is no longer a knife, it is a decorative object or letter opener now
