Air transport of spring assist laws canada?

I have just recently purchased a SOG Trident but I have to transport it by airplane. Are there any laws around the spring assisted knives and air travel? Will it be ok in my checked luggage or will it be thought of as a automatic and confiscated from my checked baggage if I bring it?

As long as it is not a prohibited knife, and it's not in your carry-on, then you're ok. Spring assisted knives are legal in Canada.

Bring a screw driver with you and tighten the pivot before it goes in your checked luggage then loosen it when you arrive. If they can't open it they can't say it's illegal.
