Hi all, I have a question concerning the World War II Aircorps Machete like knife being almost 18" long with a blade that went broader (rounder) to the tip. It was distributed around 1942 ? and was sharpened "around" the tip. It has a wooden grip plates rivited to the full tang.
They are selling for around $ 75 over here in Europe and was wondering if that's an acceptable price for this relic.
Keep sharp, Bagheera

Hello Bagheera, I have no clue but find it strange that no person from the USA can tell you something about it.

Greetings:
What you are describing sounds more like a "hospital corps bolo knife". Very thick and heavy blade with sharpened round tip.
Comes in a heavy leather sheath with brass throat and web belt hooks. If condition is good with no heavy sharpening and no pitting, $75 is a pretty fair price. I've owned several and sold them for $50 -$100 depending on conditions. What other US military knives are kicking around over there. Got any "blade marked M3 Fighters??
