Thanks for the pics. Interesting feature on the blade tang in that lock-up photo.

The only thing more impressive than the knife are the photos.

Tell us more. Indoor, daylight, who, what, and how....

Jeez, that beast makes a Strider look like a filet knife.

All my pics are takem with Minolta Dimage x20, a 2mpix full auto point and shoot.

Knives were placed on a holland army backpack i my room. Side light came from window. Outside was a cloudy day, so I had to set white balance for "cloudy". I love such diffused light. Exposure and white balance differs beacause where is nothin to set manually in my camera except white balance and iso speed.

This folder has a silky smooth action with perfect lockup.
Very strong tip.
And what is most important it is quite useful and not only lookig great.
Great ergonomics.

Great example of the cheapest 'No Frills' photo studio. Bottom-end camera, using outdoor light. :)

Congrats on the knives. Really stout!

no kiddin, Coop. Lotsa lessons to be learned there...even for experienced photogs!

Those are some great pics of some great folders!

I love being able to see the details...

Would you be willing to take a few "in the hand" pics? I've always been curious about the fit.

what's it like having two different materials for the handle? aesthetically, it's very intriguing (to me, a knifemaker). I'd like to know your impressions, though - both aesthetics and fit/function.

nice pictures and a great knife, I like it much more then their fixed blades.

G-10 instead of another titanium "liner" gives less weight and better grip (thanks to it's texture).
Practically you can't feel the difference between such consrtuction and double sided titanium with G-10(compared to Strider AR). Airkat folder is very stable and strong, while it feels light.

As for the optical aspects, I think that "all metal" Tripwire would look strange. It would be to "shiny" for me.

As for the knife, I think it's the best survival/hard use folder I've tried. It cuts well. It's blade is much stronger than Strider's AR, SMF, SNG (take a look at the tip on photos).
Strider folders would be better in cuttig, but overall strenght seems to be better in Airkat.
Only Extrema Ratio's folders may outperform Airkat in strenght, by their (ER's) cutting abillities are much worse.

I can trully recommend this knife. It's fully functional and looks great. Good job Mr. Carillo.

Dawaine's Airkat folder is and has been on the top of my must have list!! Thos pix are awesome!! WOW!!

I agree with Coop. First class photography. Makes me want to take out my digital camera and shoot something! :D :)
