I am flying to the Antique Arms show in Vegas at the end of Jan. I understand there is one floor dedicated to a knife show.

What has been your experience in traveling with large collectible knives since Sept 11. I know in the past you could hand something like this to the pilot who took possession and would return it at the destination site. I doubt this can be done now.

Does this just leave checked luggage?

Also, is anyone familiar with the upcoming knife show in Vegas. What is the usual participation of Randall collectors/dealers?

Thanks, Charlie

I would ship the collection USPS Registered Mail insured, and collect it at my destination. Not worth the risk of losing it to confiscation, even in checked baggage, they'll only insure to $250 if your bag doesn't come off the plane. FORGET about carrying it on, it'll NEVER happen post 9/11.
