Do you have any reason to suspect that it may be fake? I guess you are missing the little knife with the guthook, or it's on the other side of the slingshot.
The only thing I see is the location of the serial number, which may be correct if your knife is old.
Don't know enough about them to know.
It’s not mine, it’s for sale and I’m interested if it’s real. The only reason I ask, is I know there were a lot of fake Aitor knives and I too don’t know enough to be confident.
Becareful, I'm not seeing knurling on the handle of the one you posted. Many of the older fakes omit the knurling, while the real versions always have well done knurling. The little knife fits on the other side of that plastic rectangle with the slingshot band. The JKII skinner fits into the other side, and that whole cartridge fits into the large sheath, see 11:50 here -
.
You can buy the little knife separately for $25-40 bucks still, it's very common for them to go missing.
Honestly, this is a knife I'd buy from a dealer or long established collector. The fakes have gotten really good. The rumor I heard was that one of the versions of the company (it's gone through a couple of changes in ownership) tried to see if they could outsource some things 10-15 years ago, and it went badly.
