I just got a good deal on a Aitor Ranger (Cutlery To Go page), only 15 euros at a nearby knife shop. The shopkeeper said he didn't like the tang construction as he only trusts full tang. It also was the last piece of this model he had. Original price was 38,50 eur. This is not really the type of knife I'm interested in, but I thought I'd check out the quality since I never had Aitor knives before.

It was not sharp nib, but I got it working sharp quickly. Still have to give it some more honing. Fit and finish was ok, the handguard was not perfectly fit, and the satin finish wasn't perfect. The grinds were nicely even though, at estimated 21-24 degrees. Handle is good, sheath has some issues. It's very back-balanced, more of a fighter than utility I guess.

Seems to be ok for about 40 units of currency, but nothing too impressive. I'll give a more thorough look in the reviews and testing forum in a couple of weeks.
