Which of the two do you guys prefer that have both?

I guess the AK's can still be made in the custom shop.

My end use is purely coolness, chopping and going on walks with a sling. :)

Side by side pics would be nice.
 
I haven't owned an AK-47 but I do own a Rucki. The Rucki is nice for one handed chopping and is shorter than the AK-47. If you want something geared more toward two-handed use my guess would be the AK-47. Also, Infi is always a plus.
 
I got the rucki but can't justify the jacked up prices on an AK, maybe someday though. I really like the rucki, makes a great chopper or slicer. I also like that its compact and light enough to carry, yet can be used on the toughest jobs.
 
I think I will give the custom shop a call. I'm guessing besides secondary market this is the only recourse I have to procure one?

Also, are we talking in the ball park of 750 or less? I think the shop is closed right now. I don't want to get amped up about the AK just to find out it is a 1,500 blade. I would go Rucki in that case.:thumbup:

I would shoot Garth an email on price and availability of blanks.

I asked Garth about a month ago and there are no more AK-47 blanks right now. :(
If you email Lexi you can get on the waiting list for when Busse makes some for the custom shop. (Fingers Crossed!!) :D

You can also look at the Swamprat Waki. It's SR-101 not INFI very comparable in size and weigh, but it is available from the custom shop (Got one on order now), and you can find some great deals in the Exchange. I got a Waki Tanker Grey, w/ Red/Black G10 and it's Schweet! I'm waiting for my Rucki from the Swamp right now, and hopefully it'll be here in a week or so.

AK, I love Oinkaliber. It has done it all.
