Hi All,

Really like the AK47 (dont have one) but found one for sale,. It says "from original run". How Many runs have there been, and have there been any changes in the runs (if mutlitple runs have been done). Dont really want to get an "older" one if the "newer" one is better, thicker, sharper etc...

Thanks for any help,

Peter

They were available from Busse originally, I'd have to dig for the date.

The re-run of the Skeleton Key and the new AK-47 were offered at the same time. First Busse to have CBT Me thinks.

Skunk had some for sale at the BCS for a looong time. There have been numerous semi-customs offered during Ganzas.

My guess is that it was ordered from Busse Combat back when.

There haven't as yet been any significant design changes from the orig. release.

Hope this helps.

Buy it now, you won't regret it. Puts a smile on your face every time you use it, or even fondle it for that matter.

If its THe original AK it is made of A-2. ITs not INFI. It should have a smooth handle with smooth bolts with the original flat black coating like all the originals. Its a little shorter than the newer infi model.

THey are prized by collectors and usually go for more than the new AKs.

as indicated above, the handles/fasteners generally ought to place it in one of two categories:

(a) original/A2/smooth bolts/rare and more collectable in general
(b) newer/INFI/tube fasteners/less rare but newer and better (I think). ;)

have any pics? that would help...

Just want to add that the original smooth bolt A2 version was called the Kensei versus the later release in 2005 (I believe) called the American Kensei.

Whichever it is, you should get it and baet the tar out of it. :D
Its nice to know you have a sword that can take a beating and not worry about snapping the blade.

I seen a few of those original Kenseis

Hey guys I have another question related to AK47. Most AK47s have smooth blades either CG or satin. But did the AK47 ever had the Corrugated Bevel Technology finish before? Thanks. :D

On many of the blades, you can see traces of the hoizontal mill lines, even through the coating.

While the floor is open to AK questions, I sent one to the Busse Combat info email address last night, but someone here may know the answer off the top of their heads:

I bought a sterile AK-47 from an established Hog last year, and want to say up-front that I have got no worries about it. However, I've only seen one post about a sterile AK, so I wondered if you could tell me anything about it; I assume it was from an earlier (pre-Company Store) run. It's black with machined black Micarta handles held on by tube fasteners.
