Hey Gents,
I've been out of the Bladeforums loop for a while. Just curious if you could share thoughts and reviews (or perhaps reviews already done) on the AK47 as a weapon and as a bush sword. I am interested in things like handle comfort, edge geometry and anything else you think is important.
Thanks
Luke

You might want to do a search. I believe it was Seth who did a pretty good review of his, which included throwing the beast.

Good luck!

we have been chopping with two of them, they are awesome and i now carry one on my 4-wheeler!

Cool! Thanks for the replies. I saw one at the company store and I heard a chorus of pigs oinking in perfect harmony. Is this normal?:D

OK, Whew! I'm not the only one who hears that when I see certain Busse Knives!!!:o

Good to know! The chorus of an oinking orchestra with Miss Piggy singing 'Tomorrow, tomorrow, you'll buy two tomorrow' over the top is a bit disturbing, but I still almost melted my card because of it.

Seriously though, the AK looks very impressive!

The slabs fill my hand nicely (I wear medium gloves), making it the most comfortable 3/16" infi I own.

Balances 1/3" forward of the choil, making it 1-hand comfortable.

The blade is milled to a convex/saber "grind", making it as sturdy as 3/16" can get.

Edge geometry is closest to my Desert Defender: thicker and sturdier than my BA-III, indicating that it will take a serious beating.
