AK aluminum handle mod?

Does anyone have aluminum handles on their AK. Will the shop install them on a micarta ak? Thanks
 
I know someone does. As for replacing the handles, just give them a call and I'm sure they'll let you know if they do and the costs :)

I don't know if the shop will retrofit your micarta handles for aluminum, but I can tell you that I have an aluminum AK and I'm very happy with it. I prefer the Aluminum handles, and from my measurements they seem to be thicker, a little heavier and offer a different feel to the AK. If it matters they are also much more rare ;)

Contact the shop for advice on the retrofit.

Aluminum also looks great too.

The only negative is that it adds weight to an already heavy AK.

Of course I guess I could work out more. :)
