AK aluminum handle mod?

Does anyone have aluminum handles on their AK. Will the shop install them on a micarta ak? Thanks

I know someone does. As for replacing the handles, just give them a call and I'm sure they'll let you know if they do and the costs

I don't know if the shop will retrofit your micarta handles for aluminum, but I can tell you that I have an aluminum AK and I'm very happy with it. I prefer the Aluminum handles, and from my measurements they seem to be thicker, a little heavier and offer a different feel to the AK. If it matters they are also much more rare

Contact the shop for advice on the retrofit.

When choping up firewood in the winter.... don't stick your tounge to the handle.

Aluminum also looks great too.

The only negative is that it adds weight to an already heavy AK.

Of course I guess I could work out more.
