I just came in from an hour of splitting jackpine pieces into nice kindling. What was I using? A 15" AK.

A sunny afternoon, a chopping block, and nice dry jackpine. I don't think you could ask for a better way to spend the afternoon.

Believe it or not, this was the first time that I've really used it. It's been in drawers, on tables, and shown many times but never really used. I decided to give it a try and am really glad that I did. I don't think I'll have to buy that GB hatchet after all.

These are the kind of posts that work but few tend to post. Simple, to the point, good honest observations.

Thanks.
