I'm new to Busse and Swamp Rat knives. Collecting and using them have become quite addictive over the last 2 months, especially after just recovering from BRD! I'm curious on when the AK and the Ruck were released for sale from Busse? Also, what were the prices direct from them? I'm curious on how much they have appreciated over time. Any background information on them would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
SKKEETER

I can't find any info on the RUCK in either of the links. Anybody know when they were released and how much they sold for?

The Ruck Kensei was a military overrun offering to the public, and were sold in a Ganza. (basically a one-night offering). I'd hesitate to call them "rare", but the amount of Rucks that were offered to us were pretty darned limited.

Here's Jerry's original post announcing the Ruck Kensei on 12/02/2006 (WOW, over 3 years ago already!!) with specs & the original price...

Not a bad price on them

Indeed it was not.
Personally, I like it more than my AK. IIRC, this Ganza was only the second one that I had personally participated in at the time and I was a really nervous n00bie piglet. Knowing how popular these were, I figured that I'd miss out... Not to mention all the really hardcore HOG trickery that went on that night that caused me to fire off quite a few emails early!!! :D ...Ahhh, good times.

WOW... that was 3 years ago? :o
Glad I scored mine back then. :D

As a point of reference, the satin Rucks that were at the Easton show went for $797 IIRC.

Sad for me, as I've done a google search for knife shows in Ca and can't find any info. There's some gun shows, but even those are mostly 6-12 hour drives from my home. I must resort to the for sale forums to fulfill my AK and Ruck needs. So, every once in awhile, Jerry will make some more of them and sell them at shows it seems? Thanks for the info guys.

If you have not seen the video of the Waki in action from Swamp Rat you may be really impressed with this non-INFI blade. The performance is pretty amazing.

Blade West is in Oregon and there is a big gun show in Reno.

So do all the INFI AKs have the corrugated technology under the coating?Or just specific later ones?

I finally got an AK of my own and I am loving it!! I was a bit of a new-be when they were listed on the Busse site and said oh my ... $699 is a lot of money for a knife - no matter how long... doht!!

Busse is usually at Blade West, but not Reno.

They don't do a lot of shows. Blade, Blade West, Knob Creek gets the major Busse full-on presence. Then thatmguy has a table at the Indy 1500 and some shows around Columbus. That's it. The Easton Trunk Show was unique, don't know if they will do something like that again.
