I had a few free minutes to run into the backyard and test the flex on my AK.

(1.53MB)

I really want to get better footage of this later but need to get some better chopping mediums. ;)

Busse swords ROCK!

yah, the original pics that jerry posted of the AK in action show some really amazing flex.

I noticed that my ruck is much thicker than my AK so it does feel much stiffer and would be much harder to flex easily.

I tried to take some more video but the lighting is just no good this late. And the wood I have is all used up. Anyway, I was mainly doing some test chopping to see if the handle stays secure after I fixed it. So far so good.

persky: remember to post pics. :)

Great video, thanks for doing it and sharing it with us. Gotta love the AK's, if Blade weren't so close I think I'd buy another one before they are gone

For those that haven't seen them here are the pics of the original AK tests done by Jerry and Garth

Told you bro! once you picked up an AK..it feels awesome! AK'S ROCK!!

You nailed that one brother!:cool:

Eric: those pics are the reason I am not afraid to use my AK hard. Those and Dave B.'s.:thumbup:

I actually was able to get a lot more flex but it was too dark outside to get decent footage.

The blade came back true every single time. The edge is perfect. I may touch it up to do an "AK -vs- Phone Book" video test. ;)

Cool!

Now take and show those cinder blocks a thing or two!!

:p

Hey! I only have one AK! :p

I have atcually done one chop on a cinder block. But I screwed the angle up and ended up chopping the corner of the block thus creating more focused pressure in my edge in a single spot. It chipped the block and rolled a little. Easily fixed. Not sure if I want to do it again.:o
