Ak vs waki

Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone could put up some comparisons being these bad boys have the same mother but different fathers. I was thinking overall length, blade length, handle length, weight, and maybe some side by side pics if you are blessed to have both.
 
I think the only difference that you wouldn't be able to discover here or here is that the AK has a slight recurve where as the Waki is straight. If I am incorrect in this, would someone with a Waki correct me. (of all the pic's i've seen that Waki is straight as an arrow)
 
Putting my waki's spine against the tabletop, I've got a slight curve in mine. Less than half a cm, so not very much at all.
 
Here are my 2 AKs and my Rodent Waki before I used it. The AKs are an inch longer, the Waki is thinner stock and the Waki handle has slightly more girth. My AK bites a little deeper than the Waki when swinging with similar force into the same log. I don't know if it's because of the subtle size difference, the CBT or the INFI... They're both quite awesome!

I wish I had my AK I could help out. But i'm pretty sure if you were to lay the AK on a lfat surface blade only. I would venture to guess it has about a 1/4" gap or more between the spine and the surface. It has been quite some time since I have been in posession of my AK though, waiting for its return, I am having a custom sythetic scabard made.

funny, I moved from Dublin to Livermore :D there are a lot of us here, should be fairly easy to plan a meet up (this side of San Jose for those of us who have a hard time getting down there ;) )
 
Yeah...besides, we have some BIG trees here...for more product testing....:D

I love em too but damn they sure do temp my battle mistress and now Waki.... the thud would be tremendous..... LOL :D
 
i am almost finished with my own leather sheath for my Waki, as to NoCal i am from San Francisco
 
I just measured both of my WAKI's and my Blk/Grn G-10 on Tanker Grey is .195", but the other is even thicker. My Blk G-10 on Black is at .199" Swweeetttt!!!!!
