AK47.... A dream come true for most us. But who is going to use it, and for what? Is it going to be a machete? Myself, I have no plans to use it, except, MAYBE to try to slice a few tameshigiri mats just to see how it handles. I really don't want to risk damaging it, I imagine that I will one day give it away to someone who really deserves it.

Damage it? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D

Good one Ed. There is something coming your way, by the way. :)

It is still a sword, and will be more prone to bending than other Busses, since it is long you'll be able to apply more leverage to it, whether intentional or not. I'm looking forward to seeing how much havok they can wreak! (but I'll let others do it)

Im going to take mine out and chop up my neighbor mail box
 i think i'll chop up my neighbors willow tree

then i'm going to get a kydex sniffer to make me a scabbard for my 4-wheeler and use it for brushing some trails.

i'll keep it leaning in it's scabbard next to my bed in case i have to pry my gun vault open. (grandkids you know, got to keep the kiddies away from the 1911  ).

A sword is the thing you use to fight your way back to the pistol you should use to fight your way back to the rifle that you should have used in the first place :o

I gotta remember that one... :)

machete for me. only time i'll ever get ahold of a busse that's that long for under 1,000$

i think it is stronger then it seems by its dimentions. given that it is a sword, and it isnt built like a hogfbm, it is still infi.

I'll probably get one for the same reason I bought Kim's AR-15 and my Benelli M1 riot gun - If the chronic decriers and deplorers of the world would disapprove then I had best be getting one.

I'm going to use mine to cut up my credit cards.

Well, Maybe I'll use the Fusion Battle Mistress for that. :)

I've always been a fan of big knives, really want an AK, but would have to justify being able to use it. So seriously, what would be practical uses for it other than collecting?

Would it be suited for splitting firewood into kindling on a regular basis or should I look for something shorter in 1/4"? We just bought a house with a wood stove as the primary heat source...

I can say that I wouldn't be comfortable using it to chop up firewood. I mean it's a sword. Unless you're out in the jungle, or out makeing trails for hiking or just want to clear some bush, I'd say you'd be better off getting an HOFBM

Still, I bet it'd rock for 2 man batoning, you could have one guy hold the sword and have 10 inches of it sticking out for the other guy to baton  Still wouldn't be my first pick though, if you're doing lots of firewood then I'd go with a chainsaw and splitting maul, and a large knife like the steel heart or battle mistress when for whatever reason you just want a little bit of wood. I would like an AK-47, but I don't have excess funds to justify what for me would be the world's most luxurious machete. That's what it'd get used for too, hacking down overgrown banana trees/bamboo and occasionally breaking down a fallen tree limb.

See now that's just wrong. Back away from the AK.

Hey it's your $600.00, Spread butter on toast with it if that's your fancy.

:D

I going to use my AK for yard work. A few hours of yard work a weekend should keep the neighbor's kids from riding their bikes through my yard. :D
