Akonua value

Sorry if this needs to be in a different place. I couldnt find any guidance, but this is not a listing, just a question of value.

I have a Buck 402 Akonua that I date as an '82 model during the transition of materials with the old style rounded bolster and the rosewood handle. It has the box, sheath, and tag, though they have seen some wear. The blade is pristine and uncarried or sharpened. I cant load pictures, I dont think, but there might be some floating on the forum from when I originally started researching this knife.

Sorry but only Gold members can discuss value. Or paying members. But I think you have to be a gold member and higher try looking on the big auction site under completed auctions that will give you an idea what they're going for. Good luck

As ItsTooEarly said, check the auction site. I just looked. If you search "Buck Akonua" under completed sold auctions you will see 34 value opinions.

country, if you have know yours has the rounded guard, not the pointed guard. Then you have been reading on these models. Yes, the red birch laminate appeared in 1981. (Someone else ask about that) Those with a pointed guard & birch are rare. If you have a rounded guard and
birch handle the steel is 425M. There has been a recent topic on the Akouna. Just search, it's easy to find.Here you go. DM
