AKTI and NKCA

It seems to me that AKTI and the NKCA should be helping each other out. Both share some common goals. Has anyone from either organization contacted the other to examine ways to promote knives that would be mutually beneficial?

I've never heard of the NKCA, is that the National Knife Collecting Association or something similar? How did you hear about them?

You were right on the money with the NKCA. It is the National Knife Collectors Association. They have been around for many years. I have been a member since 1989. They sponsor several knife shows each year and generally promote knife collecting. They are based out of Chattanooga were they have a museum. They have had some financial difficulties the past few years, due in part to a decline in members.

To encourage membership I think it would be a good idea for dealers, retailors, manufactures, etc. to offer a discount on purchases for AKTI members. Just an thought.
