i am quite pleased, i just received a 4*4 Al Mar i luckily bid on e-bay.
It's problably a bit old, as it's discontinued since years, but it looks almost NIB!:D
I've done some pics (uggly ones, but it's better than nothing!).
I was wondering when AL Mar ended producing it, any idea?
i put it closed to my Swisstool spirit

it's a bit heavy, but it's quite pleasant in the hand.
I suspect the blade are made with 440A or 420, is'nt it?

Heyyy, Wadda'ya know!
Got one myself and have to admit not ever havin' carried it due to its size.
It's not exactly a compact package, least of all for an agent.
From what's been said about it's origins, it's based on a WW2 escape tool meant for the OSS.
Sorry I can't nail it's exact date of manufacture.
But it's probably early 1990's.
It makes for a terrific collector's piece aka safe queen.
