I have an Al Mar / Chris Reeve. Made Jan. 1998. The blade measures
5 1/2" from tip to hilt at the top. Is this a large or small model. I need to know so that I can try to sell it.
Thanks

I believe that they made 3 Models, a 4,5.5,7 or 7.5" blade.

What are you selling yours for?

I thought there were only two sizes. I know that there was one that sold for about $260.00 on ebay a while back. It was advertised as a 4 1/2" model. I sure couldn't part with this one for that. I'm not sure what they are worth, but it has to be considerably more than that or I will keep it. I was hoping an expert on these knives would be able to provide a run down on the different variations, dates of manufacture, etc.
Thanks

According to one of my old catalogs, summer 1999, The large Al Mar CRK retailed for $500.00 and the small one was listed at $350.00. An earlier catalog, 1998, by the same company listed one at $420.00

Don't know details on sizes or mfg dates but, if I remember correctly, I believe the medium length (5.5") came out first, then the large & small ones followed within the year. There weren't very many made.

Anyway, that should give you some idea of what they were worth when they were vailable.

You can also do a Search in the For Sale forum, there were some for sale a Month or so ago. The Seller had a Medium AM/CR and I think was asking $275 and it never sold, that is probably a fair estimate. They are obviously great knives since they were produced by Reeve but the collector market for them just isn't hot right now.
