Anyone have any experience with one of the above mentioned knives? I saw one a couple years ago but didn't have teh cash (around $250.00) as I remember. I think it had around an 8" blade around a 1/4 inch thick. It was very good looking to me and my experience with Al Mar is that they are quite durable. Any information would be appreciated or suggestions on an alternate (but very similar design)would also be appreciated. I've looked at a Busse steel Heart II and a CS SRK but just can't get into the look.

Is this knife for collecting or using? I just ordered a Busse. I happen to like the looks, but more important I will be using and abusing the knife. I needed something that can handle a ton of punishment, and the Busse was the only one that fit the bill. I would think more about the purpose of the knife than the looks up front.

It would be a user, mostly for camping, but I like a combat/ survival type design. It's not just the look, I really like the reinforced clip point (I think that's what it's called, someone correct me if I'm wrong). It seems to me that around 8" of quarter inch steel should be up to some light chopping, prying, digging or whatever. If they're good enough for a few Spec Ops types to take along when going in harm's way, it seems they'd likely do what I might need. I'd just like to know what experience people have had with these and is it worth tracking one down?
