Al Mar differences?

Is there anyreason why this Al Mar SERE Operator on dirtcheap has a little red emblem (as most AM's do) and different looking "screw" things for the handle as compared to the SERE on knifecenter? (not sure what they're called) Is it a different model? or type? Heres the examples.

At first I thought dirtcheapknives picture was probably of one of the regular production run models, but it's more likely a a prototype considering there is no wording on it like most of the ones I've seen.

I'm guessing that the picture on the knifecenter site is of the inital/1st production run of the SERE Operator (note the 127? of 200 on the blade). They probably just didn't bother changing the pic to reflect the regular production model.

But then again these are just my guesses.
