AL MAR Eagle Ultralight

Would make a great little EDC! Al Mar makes great knives and that is a very good choice! You would be pleased. Kevin

if its the one im thinking of the length would be over 31/2", which would be over the limit for me. other than that it is light, and well made.

I have the Falcon and I really like it. I don't use it much because I have so many other knives I like to carry. The fit and finish is top notch. There is no vertical play in the knife at all, almost all lockbacks have a little that you can feel when you put pressure on the edge, but not this one. It came extremely sharp with a most honorable edge geometry. As the name implies it is very light and thin. The clip looks kind of classy also. It is the knife that made me love Al-Mars. Get one, you won't regret it.

I've got the hawk. Classy, well made. Too small really, but there are larger models such as the eagle. I'll be getting one of the bigger ones some time soon.

I've got a Falcon, Hawk, Osprey and SLB. They are all well made functional knives. I like their cutting geometry. I also like the way the knife looks and feels in my hand.

I was with my in laws at the beach for a few days and my Falcon was the only sharp knife at the rental house. They couldn't figure out why I would always use my pocket knife for all the food prep.

Get one, I think you 'll really like it. If you don't you can give it to me:D.

My experience is exactly like his. Just want to add the lock bar tension is really strong so you can't really flick open the blade at all. AUS-8 takes hair whittling sharp effortlessly, and I mean it ;)

I've been beating the crap out of mine for more than 10 years (?), and it still locks up nice and tight. Plus it is a relatively large knife in a slim, lightweight package.

Great knives, well constucted, very light, and as sharp as I've experienced out of the box. Can't go wrong. The Eagle is a big knife....:)

Great Knife!I have it in my pocket right now.It sits very flat & is very light.

I usually use it to cut up my steaks & other foods. It cleans up easily. The AUS8 blade sharpens up really nice.

Go get one!

Yep - I'd agree - the Al Mar I have is big and sharp and handy - it's an older model with yellowing once white? Linnen Micarta and a 4" blade - Too bad it comes from the old days before pocket clips... so mostly it lives in the drawer while the delica is on the pocket.
