Al Mar Eagle

I originally posted this under the collectors forum, but I think this forum might be more appropriate.

I have an Al Mar Eagle that I bought around 1985 or so. Not knowing back then, I carried it around in my back pocket, so there's some scratches, the lettering is almost worn off the blade, and the micarta scales have darkened.

Is there any value to these knives today? Here's some pics:

As well, is anyone aware of any Al Mar collectors forums?

Anyone suggest any forums regarding Al Mar collectors, or suggest a value at all? It's not like I'd sell it, but I might be convinced to trade it for a nice stockman.
 
I was looking for these on Ebay for a while last year. Based on what I saw, I'd guess that in mint condition it would probably be worth in the range of $180 - 250.

I'd keep it if I were you.
 
Dunno a darn thing about collectors value, but I do have one of the new featherweight ones I've been carrying for about three weeks. what a sweetheart of a blade! definitely a sleeper in the knife world.

I the shape that it is in I would say $50.00-$75.00..

Thanks for the tips. I recall paying around $165 for it, so I definitely guess I'll keep it then. It's always been one of my favorites!
 
I've been watching those on e-bay for awhile, they seem to go for $175-$250.
