I’m respectfully seeking your knowledge in this thread.

I recently read that both Al Mar & Fällkniven have their folders manufactured by Moki in Seki, Japan. It piqued my interest, as I had been thinking that my recently acquired Fällkniven PXL-WH might have quite a bit in common with the Al Mar SERE-2000.

It is roughly midway between the full size and mini SERE series, and a very beefy, rock solid knife. I do not own a SERE-2000, they are ludicrously expensive in the UK.

Can anybody compare who has both?

I had both SERE 2000's. One marked Seki and the other Moki. The Seki was perfect but the Moki had a defective liner lock. The SERE 2000 is a bit heavy and bulky. Similar to the Benchmade AFO. I sold both in favor of the Protech TR3 and Microtech LUDT. Hope that helps.

Many thanks for the info :)
