Al Mar fit and finish

I just got an Al Mar fixed blade off of Ebay and it does not seem right to me.

I have a Mini SERE and its fit and finish is excellent. The sheath knife has visable glue where the handle meets the guard and you can feel the joint where the micarta slabs meet along with a slight edge on the pins. As well the actual Al Mar logo is slightly different. Is this normal for there older knives and did they have differences in there square logos?
 
Nope, and it did not come with a box. Basically I realize that if I could post pictures then we could better decide wether its legit or not. Instead I am wondering if there work is normally spot on perfect or do they, or did they, sometimes have these slight imperfections. I have only one of there knives and it is top notch, this one does not seem to be so comparatively.
 
Alex I have been collecting, buying and hoarding A/Ms since the 80's! Honestly I have never had one with quality control issues! Even on the few counterfits that i have bought fit and finish is great! It is hard to say without pics, Maybe a repair? Could you PM me a link to the sale!
