It looks like the only thing there is a "shopping cart" site, with products at list price and pictures and short descriptions. Perhaps more meat will be put on the bones in weeks to come. Better than having just that counter there.

Definately better than nothing, but I would like to see it have more information. Maybe some history, some info on the knife designs, and a forum. Maybe Mike should do the site.

I hope someone fixes that inverted (shown as left-handed) SERT before RGray sees it. Poor Rick is liable to stroke out

If those are the only knives Al Mar have to show to the public, than why are we wasting our time? Al Mar have got great knives in the past, although they were discontinued, I think that this web site should also have them on display, brings back a lot of memories from some people. It also act as a information center (since it's an official AL Mar Website) for collectors.

What's the differences between SERE2k and SERE Operator other than the blade size?? Is the operator out yet? Anyone handle one of these? Thanks

The main differences between the SERE 2000 and the SERE Operator is that the Operator is a fixed blade, and that there have been a few shipments of the 2000 (from the fact that some people have reviewed them - I haven't seen one), while the Operator doesn't even have a set price yet.

Does anyone here know the value of a NIB Al Mar Grunt 1?

I have several Al Mar's, back from when Al Mar was running it, and was looking foward to this site. I was disappointed. It's so thin.
The specs were not comprehensive. The blade length isn't the only thing a potential buyer
may want to know (ie steel, weight, handle material, handel length, overall length, etc)

I would definately like to see more details about the knives, as well as some company history, pics and specs on discontinued knives and a tribute to Al Mar. I am disappointed, but it is better than nothing.

Call me picky, but they really oughta fix the front page!
Almar Knives, Nothing but the best in the business!

Since when did the company name become one word?

The man deserves better than having his name shortened to some kind of brand name.

I hope it's just a typo and that it gets fixed.

pick-pick-picking away,
I remain,

Odd Pictures at Photopoint
An assortment of pictures I decided to share with anyone that was so bored they wanted to check out my antics. I did this to prove that I am indeed sane. Be advised that there's hardly any nudity. Feel free to sign the Guestbook!!
Manifesto of Madness
I wrote most of that at work after drinking massive amounts of coffee. I needed to look busy and that dribbled out of my head. There's also a whole bunch of Optical Illusions.

Be warned that the tactics used at that last site are not for the faint of heart!

I got the Al Mar catalog from their website. Glossy, but largely hollow and factless like the website. The Tac Jacket is there for 400$. Seems nice. BTW, SERE 2000 rules.
