Greetings, I am a very limited begining collector. I live in Portland Oregon. When I was a kid Peter Gerber was a friend of my aunts. Pete would give knifes to her for presents to me on birthdays, Christmas and the such. I now have a desire to add a few more. What I am intreseted in doing is adding one or two pieces from each of the knife companys that are in my area. Gerber, Al Mar, Kershaw, CRKT and maybe an old Leatherman. Like everything else I do, this may start as a simple deal and as I fall in love with the beauty of what I am collecting, well it good go further than the original plan.

What I am looking for is a book or books that will help me find listings and pictures of the early knifes offered by these local companys.

Your thoughts on this would be helpful.

Thanks,
~Randy

You can check my link. There are many AL MAR in Japanses Catarog Book.
(^o^)/

I also have one of these older catalogues, which was given to me by a former Al Mar dealer here in Holland.
While overall in good condition, he used to write pricings in it which obviously diminshes it's value.
Most of the text is in Japanese with some in English, but here are the photo's i took from every page,
