Greetings from the cheap seats.
I recently picked up a Nomad and the official specs put the blade at .15 inches thick, but the knife came with a blade just around .12 according to my analog calipers... I emailed Al Mar last week about this inconsistency and they haven't responded... I was curious if you guys who own Nomads could measure yours and see how thick the blade stock is... I know that .03 inches may not seem like much, but as a knife knut, I'm allowed to be a little picky right? I find the inconsistency a bit odd. Perhaps Al Mar changed specs without telling anybody or?

:)

Unfortunately in my experiences, stats listed online have a propensity of being off by a bit

Let's see... the Nomad is listed as having 0.150 inch thickness (measured from where?), my own measurement via vernier calipers yielded 0.157 inches at the top of the spine.

This would lead me to believe that they changed the specs along the way... That's very interesting.

Do you know how old it is ?

1234,,,:)

Just heard back from the folks at Al Mar.. Apparently they did covertly change specs... I'm not sure when the downgrade went into effect...

How do you figure its a downgrade?

Meh... Thinner blade, less robust, less durable... In my opinion, the stouter blade put the Nomad ahead of the pack in that size range...

So why didn't I pick one up already? I dunno...
