Al Mar Orca Multi-tool

Hi all, can any of you give me information on the collectability of the Al Mar Orca multi-tool? Mine is stamped 49/200. There used to be someone on this forum who knew a lot about these knives. I hope he, or others who have such knowledge are reading. thanks in advance...............b
 
I think that Al Mar usually made 200 pre production pieces. If they went well, then he went into production on them. Yours would be the 49 th one made. At least that is what I recall...
 
Thank you for the input. What I failed to mention is that my piece is 3-bladed, plus the pliers. All the examples I have seen of the multi called "Orca" have been single-bladed plus pliers. I guess it is possible that the company may have made 200 pieces of the multi I have and found them to generate little interest, so they never took them into production. I wonder if this is the case. Any ideas?................b
 
Hi folks. Thought I would try again. Does anybody have a listing for this knife in the Al Mar catalogue of knives made? Has anybody seen any references to this knife? thanks in advance.............b
