Al Mar Osprey. Fantastic

i have a penchant for small knives and recently added an Al Mar Osprey to my keychain, and i am very glad i did. it replaced my Spyderco Police Mini Necklace knife. the knife has a flawless execution, the scales mate perfectly to the body and the fit is at 100% on the liners and the scales. lockup is THE most solid i have felt on a lockback knife. far exceeding the perceived solidity of the Spydie it replaces (which i REALLY liked). the knife is a bit longer, but still no larger than the kwikset keys on my keychain, but longer than the spydie which makes it much easier to manipulate. i also like the blade. extremely sharp and double as opposed to chisel ground. this as well as a lack of serrations should make the blade much more useful and utilitarian. but i have to reiterate how awesome the execution and craftsmanship and solidity of this knife is. i did not know that one could get a small knife like this that has a similar quality feel of a CRK folder. i added some pics, and feel free to ask me more questions. this is definitely a must for any keychain!!

Looks great. The MOP is really appropriate on a tiny jewel of a knife like that. How do you think it will hold up banging around on a keychain, though?

I carried a black micarta osprey for about nine years and it really took a beating.

When it stopped locking because of pocket lint and use; I sent it in for repair.

A couple of weeks later they vsent me a brand new knife.

I can't say enough good about the Osprey and Al Mar Knives.

i agree, the MOP is very attractive. i wish my photo skills were up to par to match the beauty of the knife. i am sure it will take some abnuse in the pocket, but i would be surprised if it actually gets damaged. agin, the quality, fit, finish and solidity is realllly amazing in a knife of this size!! looking at the MOP, it reflects a very nice pinkish hue at certain angles. very nice!! but it is the solidity of the lockup and the fit that is the real high point for me ...

I bought an Osprey in Stag, from AG Russell's table at Blade. I fell in love with this little knife at the ECCKS and when I saw it again I just couldn't pass it up. It's the perfect size for office tasks, fit & finish is great and it carries well in the soft leather sheath. This knife is getting a lot of carry time. I like it a whole lot.

Wife bought me a MOP Osprey as one of my X-Mas gifts this year and I love it. The little leather slip case it comes with is a nice touch.
