Al Mar s2k marking question.

I just bought a 2nd Al Mar SERE 2000 folder and the the blade is marked SERE 2000 Japan. The other one I have is marked VG-10 Moki/Japan. Any knowledge about this would be much appreciated.

Hi there, been away for awhile my self but i just got a Al Mar Sere 2K the other day NIB.

Its marked VG-10 FM Co/Japan.

May be like other japanese knife makers an the steel is farmed out to cottage factories around Japan to be produced, idk though, this is a full on guess on my behalf.

Maybe someone else with knowledge like Esav or Cliff will chime in and reward us with the insight .
