Hardheart: You are probably not aware but the al mar you have pictured with the box is a knockoff, The box and the placement of the logo and chop so low on the blade are dead giveaways, any white al mar box will always have the logo and chop between the words al and mar with made in japan underneath. I have been away from the forum for awhile and was catching up on almar and paragon sales, unfortunately seki's factory has been knocking off the more desireable discontinued knives, they have been showing up regularly at shows and on ebay, sorry for the bad news, the knife without the box is real look at the differances! I have spent a fair amount of money to get this education, have a few rare knockoffs sitting in the safe as a reminder! They make good users as they are made where they originated just do not have A/M's blessing!

hardheart: I only wanted to enlighten you about the knife you are selling, I know that the majority of these knives end up with people who do not know the differance, I am amazed that some of my fellow collectors, still purchase them after being burned, but it is really hard to tell, these are guys dealing with them every day, in the last 2 years I have gotten stuck with six too good to be true knives that I probably have close to 2 thousand in. I am no expert but with almost 930 al mars i am pretty knowledgeable! My education has come from a few of Al's close freinds who I deal with. Unfortunately seki made all of these knives and have the materials, cad designs and experiance to make them, they make them just a little differant than the vintage models, logo and chop placement, printing differances lack of warranty card from al mar. all designed to beat copyright infringement/ legal grey zone, and unfortunately they find there way here to us. Jays knives sere is a knockoff also. Best of luck John at infobound1

930, wow. you wouldn't happen to have an extra complete 3003 (is that the original, w/camo pouch & stone), would you?

staying on topic (hi mods! :)) I guess I'll just do obo on the SERE & psuedo SERE. The psuedo is actually a little better built, the older one has some horizontal play when open.

Dang Hardheart! I've been posting that I was looking for a Becker necker for way too long.......Then a friend of mine had to drop his HD here in Tucson AZ due to a yuppie in a jeep on a mountain road, and I came to his rescue to run his businesses until he recupes in 2 months....and ya' go and put one up for grabs that i could've afforded...and I miss out on it....A case of beer won't cure this heartache Brother....Anyone else have one that's that nice for sale?
