Al Mar SERE 2000 cutting/slicing ability

Hello, could somebody inform me what is Al Mar sere's cutting and slicing ability like in comparison to Spyderco Endura (the old (ATS-55) model with a hollow ground blade) for example? Is it about the same or significantly better?

I'm asking this because I was not satisfied with Endura's slicing ability because of its relatively thick edge and low hollow ground blade. The blade would struggle (obviously because of it's thick geometry) when cutting through an apple or an orange.

I'm considering buying a new high quality folder, either Al Mar sere 2000 or Spyderco Military. I'm drawn toward Al Mar because of its solid, massive built and its great fit and finish, but I would like to know more regarding Al Mar cutting performance since I couldn't find any appropriate info in the old thread's I've read (I've read Cliff Stamp review regarding Military's cutting ability,but haven't found anything similar regarding Al Mar sere 2000 ) .

I'll entertain your question, you commie bast'd. My Al Mar SERE 2000 can cut a commie from ear to ear. My Military can also cut an commie ear to ear...

For pure slicing capability, the Military is great. The Milly and SERE are really very different animals. The SERE is really designed as a folding survival knife. If it happens to be your only edged device in a "dicey" situation, I would give it very high marks. For more general cutting and slicing tasks, the lighter Milly would do just fine.

Both are outstanding knives.

I like the Sere2K because it has a straight spine which allows your weak hand thumb to push the knife thru what ever you are cutting. The hump in the spine of the Military makes this difficult.

I'd rather carry the Military since it's lighter. The Sere2K is border-line too heavy at 6.2 oz.

Both are great and picking one over the other is really just your personal preference.

in comparison to endura sere is also poor slicer
if you like smooth cuts thru fruits like you said, get military
