I picked up a SERE at a gun show this past weekend and have been trying to find out more info on the BF and the net about it's use as a survival folder. Now, of course, a fixed blade would be preferable in a survival situation but I believe that the majority of us here at the BF carry a folder so for this reason, I've posted this question about the S2K.
I know that it was designed by Al Mar and Col. Nick Rowe for the Army's SERE school, but I can't seem to find any reviews/info on how it performs as a survival tool, even though this was it's intended purpose when it was designed.
What I'd like to know is has anyone here put the SERE through any survival situations and, if so, how did it perform?
Thanks for your input.
