Al Mar SERE 2K Auto - Any long term problems?

I considering getting a 2000 and having it converted into a Double Action automatic. I'm curious to see if anyone had any long term impressions? I love the knife, and I love double action autos. I just want to make sure that having the conversion done won't have long term ill effects. If you have one, why or why don't you like it.
