I went to Al Mar's website and I couldn't find a listing for "Sitrep" on there.

Anybody know why the Al Mar site is so secretive about the prices of their knives? I put one in my basket, went to checkout, and was faced with the necessity of providing all my personal info, without ever seeing a price. I didn't go that far, but I'd guess you have to plug in your CC #s before you ever learned the price. Don't they have a clue? For many people, price is a big element in one's decision to buy or not to buy. Very poor site, IMO. Thankfully, their knives seem better put together.

Their site is just about useless. I wasn't very impressed by their customer service either.
I need a clip for the S2K. I called Al Mar and placed an order. I was told that shipping would be as much as the clip. I really need one so I ordered. Two weeks pass, no clip. I called to check the status. They acted very confused about the fact that I called them to order a clip. The gentleman took my name and number and told me he would call me back with the status of my order. I never got called back. That was a week ago. Still no clip. They make great knives, but could take a clue from Spyderco.

I agree with the assessment of the web site. I was unable to locate even a contact number or email so I could ask my question to them directly. Does anyone have a number or email for them?
What do you guys think about the design of the S.E.R.E. Operator? Looks like a large SERE 2k to me. This is good. I am particularly drawn to the low ride pocket clip design, though this is not visible on the Operator.

If I'm not mistaken the Operator is a fixed blade.
