I am looking for a fixed blade EDC. Do you guys think these are to large? if not witch would you go with and how would you carry it?

Sorry, don't have any experience with either. Maybe you could try posting this on the review forum or the traditional forum

I would say the Al Mar is the better choice. I have the Sere 2000 and the Bob Lum Chines folder (I assume you mean this one). The Bob Lum is real nice, but the Sere 2000 is a very strong adn versatile knife.

Both good but Sere 2000 is better.

Well I have never owned either...but if I had a choice between the two it would be the SERE hands down. It depends really on what you want...utility or SD. The SERE will serve both...not so sure about how the Lum would be in a utility position. As far as the size goes...it's all a matter of what you want. I could make dozens of suggestions. :D

i have had both (though sold both also) and would say the SERE is the better one, though the LUM is good too, imho the LUM is the very best production tanto, its perfectly good for EDC unlike some, and the blade is pretty long, which i like, the only con is the ti handles which get scratched up so easy(yet my #2 all time fav is my crawford perfigo, with, ti handles, go figure lol), but ya can get G10 too, the SERE is a darned good knife, well made well fitted, gave mine to a bud as a gift for letting me/my son/my buds hunt on his 900 acres w/out charge, he really likes the SERE, it was the one he chose out of 8-10 BM/spyderco/MT i let him choose from FWIW
