Al Mar SERE2000--S2K

Too much money for what you get. $200 for VG10 steel and a liner lock? No thanks. I'd prefer a Spyderco Military or a Superleaf everyday of the week and 3 times on Sunday.

Thank you RevDevil brother, I like SERE2000. Just want to know his durable? Firm? Please use a brother say, thank you

there was a time when this was one of the most recommended knives for hard use. it's still the same solid knife it's just a bit dated now

Well, I'd say it's hard to find more durable knife. Just do a search here for s2k and read it yourself. For me personally, it's way tougher than spydies

I carry mine almost every day. Not worth 200 bucks, but if you can find one for less you should consider it. Mine is very solid and I have no issue with using it like I would a fixed blade. It isn't the latest and greatest, but it has withstood the test of time. Excellent choice.

I don't carry mine too often, but it's a rock-solid folder. Fit and finish are as good as any top-notch production folder. You could do a lot worse...

best fit and finish Ive ever seen on a production folder. Not a big fan of vg-10, but I can easily overlook it because of the quality of the rest of the knife. Definitely worth the high price. I would consider it a fairly hard use knife. Its got a decently thick blade and the open construction makes it easy to clean.

Al Mar's VG-10 is spectacular. I have a Shiva and SERE Operator, and the blades are amazing. I field dressed and skinned a big boar hog with my SERE and it split the ribs like butter and is still hair popping sharp. Not the best knife for the task, but I had to break it in. Hogs are not easy on blades.
