Hello,
I've owned an Al Mar SF-10 fSurvival knife for a dozen years or so and was searching around the net to see what these are valued at these days but all the links to sell sites show their example as "sold".
I'm curious to know what this knife would be valued at these days, it's new, never used, with the original black canvas (?) sheath (not leather, which I guess was an option).
I believe this knife was over $250 back when I purchased it, and from what I can see it's now long discontinued.

Thanks for any insight you can provide (BTW - this knife is not for sale :))

Howdy, I've seen them sold in the $300-400 range over the past couple of years. The scabbard is codura nylon.

Bob,
I appreciate the information. Do you know how long ago this model was discontinued? I saw another knife offered elsewhere that had a leather sheath, do you know if this was offered by Al Mar directly or could it have been an aftermarket item?

Any other opinions on this particular knife, is it regarded highly in the Al Mar family of knives??

Thanks again.

The sheath was an offcial Al Mar product, over the years I've seen both sold with the knife. Sometimes Mar would change sheaths on knives, if they thought a certain design worked better with the knife.

They also offered special order sheaths, usually made by Tex Shoemaker.

I don't have an exact discontinue date, but the old models were discontinued around 1997/98.
