Is that a real edge or a swedge on the back of this beauty? Anyone know for sure?

Wow! That is a beauty! I am not into fixed bladed knives but I would consider that one just to have.

It is not a false edge, it is a real cutting edge. We discussed this in a thread a month or so ago, there is a production version of the Shiva coming out and I was wondering if people would like it better with a swedge instead of the real edge on these limited editions.

BTW I found out it was real the hard way :( :P

A false edge is a sharpened edge. Someone on these boards (can't remember who, sorry) put it succinctly - "false" because it doesn't run the entire length of the knife, "edge" because that's what it is.

I'd prefer a swedge but only because it would make it legal to carry here in TX. I wont buy anything over 5.5" or double-edged due to TX law. :(
