Anyone own an Al Mar if so what do you think of them good bad or indifferent. I am kinda liking the Shrike but not much info on it and I've never held an AL Mar?

I have several Al Mar folders including a Shrike.

They are very nice, very high quality, with a super smooth action.

I have a few Al Mar knives, all older models. They are all very well made, excellent quality knives. The SERE 2000 has been one of my all time favorite knives, silky smooth, perfectly balanced and exceptionally strong. I was disappointed with quality of the Mini SERE 2000, however. Their current knives are very expensive and I don't have any experience with the recent production. I'll bump this up so maybe someone with more up to date experience with their knives will provide information.

I have a sere 2000 in OD green modded to double action by Butch Vallotin. Knife is fantastic. One of the smoothest opening knives I've owned. The texture of the G10 is perfect, not to rough(won't tear up your pockets), not to smooth. Just rite. For a knife with a nylon washer this thing flicks open as.smooth as a babies bottom. Lock up is bank vault tight and the pocket clip is perfect. Knife all but disappears in your pocket. Good luck with your search

I have one and it is superb; silly sharp, incredibly smooth and near perfect ergs for my hand. Lock up is a vault. My only criticism
is the G10 in a tad too smooth but that is easily fixed. Too bad my SERE wasn't this good.

Cool thanks guy's for all the replies still searching for a deal but they sound like good knives!
