Having spent many years trying to obtain a Al MAr tac jacket(apparently now longer made), I have finally realized that the only way to get one will be to buy it used. Anyone have one they would like to sell?
 
Greetings Scotsman. Have you exhausted all possiblities? At the risk of asking the obvious have you checked with Al Mar direct? I was at a law enforcement show 2 years ago and Al Mar knives had a booth where both the Tac Jackets and Tac Vests were prominently displayed. Also the last known mail order firm to carry this was Cutlery Shoppe if my memory serves me well. Good luck.

I spoke to Al Mar's daughter over the phone about 2 years ago and she told me the dealer to most likely have it in stock would be Cutlery Shoppe. I called them a few times about it since and was always told the same thing - "I think they no longer make them."

I actually called Al Mar Kives not too long ago and was told that they were looking into reintroducing the product. The only thing that was holding them back was the search for a good tailor.

I've been looking for one for quite a while now. If there is a dealer who has them in stock, I don't know about it and they are probably a small andlocal business.

I posted in the Want to Buy Forum a few months ago but no reply came.
