So, what's the difference between the talon series and the ultralight series? Also, what is the pro-clip? Tip up or down?
I don't hear too much about these knives, is there a serious design flaw? How's the craftsmanship? Thanks for any help.

I think the ultralight has a fully flat ground blade, while the talons are saber ground.

Is there a Talon series? The Ultralight series is available with the Talon blade, but I don't think there is a Talon series. I think the Talon blade is sabre ground and it has a false top edge. The regular blade is flat ground with no false edge.

The Talon series have a wee-hawk blade design with a top swedge, there are not as many size choices as in the ultralight series. The Ultra Light series have flat ground blades. Both series are "ultra lite" design and both have the same style of clip. All of the above as of now have AUS-8 steel blades. I have carried a Falcon Ultralight as a EDC rotation knife for dress occasions for several years, it is light easy to carry with a nice blade shape for most anything. Nice knives IMO.

Thanks. I see the blade difference now. Is the clip tip up or down? The knife shops around here do not carry the series, so I can't handle one :grumpy:

Oh, NGK is excellent! I've purchased several knives from you guys, and shipping etc. is always fast.

They are tip-up, they can be switched easy for lefties or righties but not for tip up tip down. I have never worried about it with mine, the locks are very stout and they clam shut very well.

All of them are thin knives and carry in the pocket very lightly. Mine has the flat ground blade and will sharpen up nasty sharp and hold a good edge, they make great light duty EDC or dress knives.

If there ever was a perfect sleeper EDC knife the ultralight series is it.
All of these knives perform far, far beyond what you would ever expect
them to. Light, strong, sharp and they fit the human hand like a glove.

My ultralight Eagle has been a constant companion for several years now
replacing some well known knives simply due the the ease of carry.
