I wanted to see if anyone knew what a fair price for an Al Mar Warrior is. I can buy one for 350.00 right now in "almost mint" condition with sheath and original box. I have wanted one of these for quite a while now.

Thanks guys for your help.

I think 350 is just a little high. But they are kind
of hard to get now. It might be worth it.It is a nasty knife,
but I love the way it feels in my hand. Good luck. John

Yeah I thought it was a bit high, but like you said, you dont see many of these around any more at any price. I am still deciding, thanks - LT

Hi,

I have'nt checked in a bit, but they were selling in the $250-275.00 range about half a year back. Check with Ebay, A.G. Russell, and www.nwknives.com . These places have had older Al Mar's in stock recently:).

HTH:D:).

Local knifeshop had one marked at $350, never moved locally, so he put auctioned it, wound up getting $400 out of it. Sounds like $350 is on the high end, but not insanely priced IMHO.

Thanks to all who have posted so far, I appreciate the info. Sounds like it might not be too bad of a deal so I think that I may take him up on it.

Thanks - LT

I think $350 is a fair price. Honestly, I paid about $400 for mine, shipped, about 2 years ago. I assume it is serial numbered of the original 200?

I have seen a website in japan that lists three versions of the warrior available for 19,600 Yen ($161.00 USD)
http://www.ohyasuya.co.jp/aigo/al-mar/al-mar.html

I don't know if these are the original, or if more are being made in Japan. Does anyone else know this? If these are original, then that is a great price even with shipping.

Please let us know how you make out. I like the warrior design.

Joe

Kingknives,

I can't say this about all of their A Mar knives, but I had some correspondence with them about their Presidential Bowie and was told that they were sort of "overruns;" they were not actual Pressidential Bowies from the original limited, numbered run but were newly made with parts from a factory in Japan that had done contract manufacturing for Al Mar. YMMV
