Al Mar Warrior steel

Does anyone know what steel was used in this knife? Some say Aus 6 and others say ats-34 like the hobbit. If anyone knows a good webpage with some history of the Warrior and other Al Mars that would also be appreciated.

it isn't ats-34

maybe 440, but japanese manufacturers use domestic steel, so it's rather aus-6a

The Al Mar Warrior was overbuilt, though still a great knife, and REKAT was going to bring back the design as originally intended, called the Gaijin Warrior. Unfortunately, this project only reached the prototype stage, and 16 were built - 13 black, 3 green. I put sheaths on all 16, and it is an outstanding knife - lighter, quicker. Here's a picture of an AM Warrior, 16th SOF Hobbit, and a Gaijin. You can see the difference in the thickness of the Gaijin's guard.
