  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I am looking for any information I can find on the Al Mar Wild Hair, blade steel, years made, monetary value, things like that. I just picked one up on ebay, I am very happy with it, but would like to know more. google has been no help

Al introduced the "Wild Hair" as more of a novelty item than anything else.

He enjoyed creating exotic blade forms - and dabbled in the arena of clandestine edged weaponry in part due to his love for things coming out of the OSS/Special Forces histortical communities.

As best I recall the steel was a 440 stainless (Mar felt 440A was fine for such products).

You have nice bit of the original AMK legacy:)

Hi Greg. It's great to see you back. Any particular reason you started a new account?

This being the Memorial Day weekend I would like to offer you my thanks for your service. It is through the efforts and sacrifices of people like you that I am able to enjoy the freedoms that are so important to me.

Nice to be back -

Nope - other than having "senior moment" and forgetting all previous account info -

thanks for the info, i noticed it is a chisel ground blade and seems to be much more comfortable left handed, does anyone know if it came in right and left handed versions?

No one knows about left or right handed? When I hold it with the chisel grind down in the right hand the ergonomics seem all wrong, but it fits perfectly in my left hand with the chisel grind down
