I just got this folder a couple of days ago. It is a folder by Alan Davis that he made for me to MY SPECS! This folder is AWESOME! While I have not cut very much with it what I have cut the blade just went right through it. Cardboard is no problem for this knife to cut from top to bottom with NO EFFORT! The knife has a 3 9/16 inch drop point blade of S35VN steel. The handle is a 3/16 inch G10 with no liner and a .090 thick titanium framelock. It has a titanium low rider pocket clip that carries AWESOME in you pocket! Over all this knife is right at 8 inches long and it ONLY WEIGHS 3.75 oz!!!! Alan does GREAT work and will try to meet your needs. All of his knives are handmade and you will never get 2 alike because he mostly uses hand tools! He is going to post the pictures for me because I dont have a way to do it. If you are looking for a knife that you want made just for you then Alan is the guy to talk to. He already has another SPECIAL ORDER request by me for another awesome folder that he will be doing in a few weeks. I CANT WAIT FOR THAT ONE ALAN! That one will have its own review with pics when I get it. Alan sells knives here on the forums both fixed blades and folders. You really need to check his work out. Here is to Alan and his work :thumbup::thumbup:
This is one AWESOME EDC! THANK YOU! Kevin

It looks very thin and simple yet elegant and strong. I like the clean lines and the size appears perfect for daily carry. Nice work Alan and congratulations Kevin! Thanks for sharing this with us.
How long did you have to wait for Alan to build the knife for you? Whatever the time frame it was worth it!

Alan took about 6 weeks on this one but now has more customs to do so I would say at least 8 to 10 weeks out if you order from him now. THANKS! Kevin :D

Damn BF. I read this thread about three days ago,Sunday 7/10. Last nite I had a 2 hour and 20 minute phone conversation with Alan.

I ordered a custom folder with cpm m4, ti and stag handle with a flipper. File work on top of the spine is gratis. All this for a a little more than a ZT 561.

Alan has only been making knives for a few years and his flipper is one of the best out there. He got a complement from a knifemaker with 4-5 years of experience

"the best flipper I've ever seen". Alan will be teaching a class on how he makes his flipper later this year. He's quite a guy.

I have had fun talking knives with Alan and must say he is a stand up guy who takes his work seriously. No wonder his knives are coming out so well, great work Alan!

Excellent looking knife! The G10 and Titanium really works well together, great design.
