Does anyone use an alarm clock program on their pc to wake themselves up? I want to set one up on my pc and did a google check for em and came up with tons of em but I don't know which one I can trust.

Be careful. A lot of so-called "free" programs will take over your computer - displaying ads, stealing information, and installing viruses. So when searching for Freeware, I tend to only browse sites that are known to be honest and reliable. Here are a couple:

www.nonags.com
www.freewarehome.com/
http://freeware.intrastar.net/ (Only Freeware)

Sorry I can't recommend a particular software title. But I'm sure you'll find a selection to choose from.

Good Luck,

Nothing is really free on the net, as Bob says it comes loaded with stuff you don't want on the PC. I stay away from the free stuff and the PC seems to run just fine, where as some people I know use the free stuff and find that their systems slow down and crash.

I've been installing and using Freeware for years with very few problems. Naturally, just like with commercial programs, Freeware varies by usefulness and quality.

Here is the Time Tools category at NoNags, an honest freeware site that does not distribute or link to Ad-Ware / Spyware / Crapware. Check out the "Ducky" scores, and look at screenshots to help find the program that's the closest to what you have in mind.

You don't even need a program -- you can do it in Windows Task Scheduler. Click on Start, Programs, Accessories, Scheduled Tasks and tell it to run a sound file. Use a song or record yourself yelling "WAKE UP YOU LAZY BASTID!"

You can set up multiple tasks, start off with pleasant music and if you don't get up and turn it off it'll progress to yelling, explosions, train wrecks -- you can find all kinds of sound files on the net....

Just a tidbit of info. If you're looking for free software online, don't search for "free software" - you'll get tons of spyware and demos. Mostly useless crap.

Search for "open source" software, which will almost always be free, useful and free from spyware.

There is tons of EXCELLENT software available online for free, perfectly legal and widely available. You just have to now how to look for it!

Definately something worth looking into.
